The value of regional intelligence sharing

The recent Yorkshire and Humberside Partners Against Crime meeting in Harrogate proved the value of regional intelligence sharing with two arrests being made shortly after the meeting.

At the start of the meeting the team were discussing fake SODEXO vouchers being used in the Leeds area. One of the attendees was the Loss Prevention Officer from Debenhams in Harrogate. Within two hours of returning to the store two males walked into the store and bought several hundreds of pounds of goods with fake SODEXO vouchers. The males had also been in Boots but were being tracked by CCTV control after a Shopwatch Radiolink alert from the Loss Prevention manager after he realised from the meeting input that they were linked.

Both men were arrested.

The SODEXO vouchers are no longer in use after being cancelled on November 2nd, http://www.sayshopping.co.uk/.
