Three injured in suspected acid attack in Notting Hill shopping street
Three people have been injured in a suspected acid attack on Westbourne Grove, a popular road with numerous shops, restaurants Notting Hill.
At approximately 2pm on Tuesday (04/09/18) emergency services responded to reports of a "noxious substance attack".
There were reports from shop owners saying they had witnessed a "crazy man... spray(ing) people's faces". The man is suspected to be an alleged shoplifter.
A Met Police spokesperson said: "Officers are in attendance along with the London Ambulance Service and the London Fire Brigade.
"At this stage it is believed there are three victims.
"No arrests have been made and enquiries continue."
